Just got back from lunch with some long time friends: Dar, Mia, Meg Potter & co.
Something about him is SO my brother! I showed the pics to Matt just barely and all he had to say, and I quote, was, "I didn't have anything to do with that."
Last night we made THE best Navajo Tacos on the planet! They were a bribe for She She (Q's mom) to come over and teach my mom how to sew (I mean how to really sew) Megan's prom dress.
Lately Matt and Mark have been bonding over multiple games on the wii. Since Matt turned down my offer to illustrate my children's book, things are a little edgy between us.
...Thought you might like a peak of what is pasted inside every book I own. Interestingly enough one of these puppies brought one of my Twilight books back to me from a tennis court across town. Since I put them in I haven't had as many book kidnappings. Well, that and the fact that I shut down my classroom library because my heart was broken so many times at seeing books disappear.
Incidentally, Q found my latest Barns & Noble receipt last week and I'm not allowed to go back. I can't help it- I'm compulsive about books- as everyone should be. Last week alone I read 4 novels. I probably own more books than most schools. They are piled under the bed, in storage bins, in kitchen cupboards, in every nook and cranny of my classroom, in my car... To read is to live. Anyone need a recommendation? Next on my list is Atlas Shrugged, the Pulitzer winner by Ayn Rand. Read Anthem first, that will help you break into it in case you were thinking of attempting to read it.
And for my novel- I finally picked it up again and am nearly through writing chapter 4. It''s just awful and horrendous but I figure it;s the only way I'm ever going to get into a house so I better give it serious go.

I THOUGHT I WAS A GENIUS FOR THINKING OF GIVING IT TO YOU AND APPARENTLY IT WAS A GREAT IDEA BECAUSE YOU ARE BEATING ME TO IT. DANG. GUESS I'LL HAVE TO COME UP WITH A NEW IDEA. CUPCAKES? DIERKS CD? I LOVE ME SOME GOOD OL' FASHIONED AYN RAND AND MOOCHER/LOOTERS!
That little baby totally looks like Matt, what a cutie. As for me I finally had to (dare I say) get a library card.. although it's not the best at least I can still read. Books and reading are the best. Good luck on your novel. :)
Let me clarify, there isn't as good of selection at the library like there is at say Barnes and Noble or the like...
I love the notes you put in your books, hilarious!! And you got to have lunch with those guys without me?! Darn!! Baby K sure does look like Matt, weird!
O man! I died laughing at Matt's quote!! Hilarious! But I LOVE LOVE the picture at the top of your blog with the pig and mud!! I can't stop laughing!! What's the story behind that??
