GRAND CANYON We hiked the Grand Canyon (Vesee's Paradise) with our dear friends Brandon and Alana. When I say Grand Canyon, I mean rim to Colorado River to rim! It almost killed us but it was an adventure the likes of which I've never seen nor could do again. This wasn't too long after we were hitched (B & A too) and our life long friendship as couples was solidified for time and all eternity whilst crossing the Navajo Nation. Never mind the fact that I also developed my insane fear of the Grand Canyon on this trip.

NYC Q and I visited NYC for the first time to interview for his school. We went to Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall on St. Patrick's Day! We were totally lost the entire time. I couldn't have separated midtown from Harlem. Oh how I looked out of my hotel window and wished I knew where to eat or where to shop. I was sold on NYC before I went but this trip meant I'd never get Manhattan out of my system until I had conquered it for myself. We moved to NYC 6 months later. It was a fabulous trip!

NYC, DC, ST. THOMAS We were living in NYC and traveling around the East Coast as much as possible to get it all in while travel from JFK was cheap. Katy and Luke visited us and we hopped the bus to DC. When they left, I flew down to St. Thomas to meet up with my parents for sailing and a magical Steve Irwin tribute Kayak ride!
KAUAI/MAUI Off to Hawaii again, but this time we upgraded to Kauai. Suffice it to say, we will never visit any other Hawaiian Island again. We were there to see the hump backs jumping, went on a helicopter ride over Jurassic Park land, and off-roaded through the jungle. There is SO much to do. We island hopped to Maui after a few days because dad had a business conference.

KAUAI Back to Kauai- but this time I couldn't bare to return without Q. This was his second trip to Hawaii (my 7th) but his first to Kauai. He loved it! We added deep sea fishing to our repertoire (aka- me up-chucking for 7 straight hours), and took a navy seal boat around the Nepali Coast line. We also zip lined and whale watched our way through a week of bliss.
NADA, NUNCA, NINE ...still to be determined, and I'm half way through it! Ug. Now you know why I'm moping about the house. This stay put deal isn't going so well for me. Ick- pay off mortgage initiative is definitely cramping my Spring Break style! Next year I promise to be back in Kauai or at least somewhere else exotic and adventurous or Spring Break and I are through!
