Hello Everyone,
We wanted to shout out to the world that we finally have a baby!!! You would not believe how shocked we were to meet the cute little thing. So not what we expected, but oh so much better. The jist of story is this: At 9 days over due, we were able to schedule an induction for Monday night, July 26th at 7 pm. We thought our little boy would be here well before midnight but after a full night of "contraptions" (ug) there was no sign of baby. At about 11:00 am the next morning we learned that the baby was in danger and we decided to do a C-Section. It was super scary but thank heavens we went for it because our baby would not have made it otherwise. There were several complications we learned of after delivery that were extremely dangerous!
The craziest thing is that our baby boy is not a boy at all. Would you believe it- we have a little girl!!! We were/are so completely shocked. All the doctors in the operating room were laughing at us because we could not believe them and kept asking to see her to make sure. I am still completely floored that I get to have bows and ruffles at my house. She is absolutely gorgeous! I caught just a quick glimpse before they wheeled her away and stapled me back together. It was just enough to see a full head of dark black hair and a face just like Quinn's. Exactly what I wished for. I was wheeled back into the delivery room so I could watch everyone's reaction when Q told them we had a girl. It was awesome! He came in saying, "Would you like to meet your new grand daughter?" The room erupted in surprise and our little girl made her debut. She is so cute! The staff keep saying she is the most beautiful baby, uncharacteristically alert, and super advanced because she focuses on people and has tons of personality. She's especially alert when she is held by Q. It's like she knows him already or recognizes him from all the things her grandpa told her about in heaven. That's the quick version. We are still at the hospital as we recover. We have decided to stay an extra day at what I refer affectionately to as "the spa." It is the best place on earth and we don't want to leave. We are in love with our amazing insurance and getting to stay as long as we want. The nurses say we are star patients and they don't mind having us for almost a full week. I really love this hospital and even told Q I can't wait to come back. Q is a proud dad but I think he may have a heart attack! Every time she makes a peep his blood pressure hits the roof. There have been a few times the nurses and I have wanted to admit him or at least get him an IV with some fluids. Our baby is perfect and completely beautiful.... so without further ado, let us introduce you to our kid:

(Above: Just minutes after deciding to go for the C-Section Q suits up to meet me in the operating room.)
(Above: This is me being wheeled back into the delivery room post operation. I'm shaking uncontrollably- I still haven't really seen Annie.)
(Above: Q comes in after me with Annie and introduces everyone to -surprise- a baby GIRL!)
(Above: I get to hold Annie first but I still haven't gotten a good look at her. I'm dying to see her at this point. All I know is she has tons of black hair!!!)
(Above: Q tells me about the surgery and how close we were to not getting Annie here. We are in complete ecstasy and he tells me how perfect she looks. He finally shows me a picture of her on his phone since I can't lift her up to see her.)
(Above: Finally I get to see her and I can't believe how pretty she is. Still I can't possibly believe she is a girl!)
(Above: We give everyone a chance to meet her. It was amazing to watch our family hold her for the first time. My dad and mom were in love at first sight.)
(Above: We had been worried that Sheila wouldn't make it in time for the big delivery but luckily she came to town early.)
(Above: Megan doesn't know it yet, but we have decided to name our little girl Annie Meg in her honor. We decided on/announced Annie's name the next day.)
(Above: I can't get over how much she looks like Q and keep trying to find some of me in her.)
Annie is small. She was born 6 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches.

Isn't she the most gorgeous baby on the planet!
