Zebra Meets Halloween, We Miss Miss Sinks.

Prepare yourself for cuteness. I tried Annie out in this nifty seat and she loved it. She got such a kick out of watching herself in the mirror sitting in it that she started laughing. This thing is awesome. Then again, so is Annie. I've got her in all sorts of crazy tights lately. Girls are so fun to dress up!

And then there was Halloween.
I spent hours and hours searching and deciding
and finally Annie ended up in this.
Love it!

She is so snugly anyway but the velvet zebra outfit calls for even extra cuddling. Q and I were fighting over who got to hold her. Can you blame us? Annie is perfect sans the hat, but with it, it's almost impossible to stop hugging her.

THE ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY Sat. October 30, 2010.

We figure we had over 1100 trick-or-treaters this year. Sheesh. We took shifts at the door whilst enjoying Navajo tacos, lentil soup, pumpkin and mummy sugar cookies, and the ever classic tradition of the Stephen Spielberg short, Mummy Daddy. Miss Sinks- if you're out there -Happy wedding! We missed you and thought about you a ton!!! No big to-do down Sugar Leo this time. Guess they got tired of feeding the city. Uncle Bob did, however, volunteer to dress up and scare people next year. He's got it all planned and worked out. Can't wait.

See. Told you Meree was skinny. No fair.
And she had her baby WAY after me.

Hello Lailee Jo

Annie is so happy all the time. I think it's because I bought
her the cutest ever bear bum tights. I just know she loves them.

On Friday we went on a road trip to SLC and came back the next day. Annie did great because my mom sat in the back and entertained her with some seriously twisted baby stories. Lots of blood and guts and an ending that was none-too-kind for the baby bunnies. Annie loved them. Mom says Annie has to learn about the realities of life soon because she's got to be tough if she's going to survive.

She's finally here!

Too bad they wouldn't let me take Annie in.
I wanted a picture so bad.
Cousins are the best!

Speaking of cousins... I stayed with my fabulous cousin Kari and her twins.
It was so short (sad) but amazing none-the-less. I have the best cousins
on the planet. I secretly adore them. I wish I could see them more. Kari
and her sisters are a big reason I am so dang excited about Lailee. Annie
has a built-in best friend! THANKS KARI! Oh that we could have
had more time. The place looks fabulous.

I splurged on Annie's first official toy. Sweetness/Bottom Pie lovers everywhere will appreciate her name. And if you don't know who Flavia is, you are missing out BIG TIME. Isn't Annie's face funny? I think she likes Flavia the Giraffe don't you?

P.S. I am now boycotting Glee. Just so you know.
P.S.S. MINDI! Oh Mindi! I can't believe I didn't get to see you! Rats.
P.S.S.S. Did I mention Ashley looked like a MOVIE STAR after giving birth? No fair!

Cupcakes

I rigged up the wrap for a late nite cupcake reconnaissance mission. Q and I decided the walk to 25 main from our apartment is the perfect stroll for Annie and the perfect excuse for us to stray from our diet. Afterward, Annie fell fast asleep. Isn't October the most perfect month ever in SGU?!

Speaking of diet. Thanks... or should I say NO THANKS to Kelly's blog for introducing me to the best pumpkin chocolate chip cup cake recipe I have ever tasted. I made a batch thinking they'd be a good treat to take to some peeps but ended up eating them all! I'm already on my third batch in a week. So help me, I may never pull on a real pair of jeans again. Below, Annie helped me make the first batch. YUM!

Annie is perfect. She practically puts herself to sleep at night and looks smashing in every outfit.

Trying to catch a smile:

Annie is seriously so cool.

Did you know:
She HATES to have her hair combed or touched
but she LOVES to have her face wiped or washed?
Isn't that funny?

Two month check up = Tired hungry girl who barely cried at all.
What a baby. Hope all our babies are this happy. More please.

35% in weight.

Just Annie and I walked down to the 3rd parade in our neighborhood in two weeks.

So I SO have the best idea for our float next year. DON'T think you're getting out of it fellow alumni!

I love me some Annie:

Annie smiles on cue. She loves to be admired and delivers huge grins in return.

Q was so mad. I made him pose for a family photo after church.
For some odd reason he gets all embarrassed doing this kind of thing.
Like anyone cares! Plus, we all matched so a photo was called for.
[BTW: Q gets embarrassed over matching too.]

...Did you notice that I squeezed into a Betty Page dress?!
I think Annie's hair has a bit of a curl.

I was running and jumping to get Annie to giggle. She's making laughing grunts but no full giggle yet. We are so close!!! In the mean time, I'm getting some exercise looking like a complete idiot. Oh well. At least Annie (and I'm pretty sure Q) was amused.

She's so cute. I can't handle it.

A few more pant options. Annie was quite pleased with these options but I think it's just because I did a crazy happy dance every time I could successfully zip up another candidate.
...When I say successfully, I mean SQUEEZE SQUEEZE SQUEEZE and then ignore the muffin top splurging over. NOT that you care about this, but I DO! Do you know how difficult it is coming up with semi-decent outfits for work everyday? I teach middle school people. If you look like a dork, you get crucified!

I bought this cute number on zulily. It can be a dress or snap into a snazzy pant suit.
Annie is starting to hold her head up pretty good
so I figured it was time she too enjoyed the bliss that is my luxury rocker.
