Peach Days Extravaganza

The Stirland Family Show is epic.  Have you see it?  Add something like 40 years of entertainment camaraderie (or com-drama-rie) and the hottest weekend of the year and you've got our yearly extended family show.  Although I have to say this was thee coolest labor day weekend I have ever experienced at Peach Days.  Here are the highlights:

It would appear that Violet likes fireworks as much as Annie does!

Peach Days 2010

The Day of Peach Days was jam packed. First I took Annie to meet Matthew, Ashley, & the Burrs at Ashley's baby shower, then we introduced her to Quinn's sisters & co at their hotel.

After that, I whisked her off to Hurricane to practice for the family variety show in Grandma's UN-airconditioned house. She later told us that she had an amazing AC but she liked to keep it off because she loves the feel of a swamp cooler...(?!?!?!)

Here's the fam: this was supposed to be a performers only shot but we had a stow-away.

Q's fam came to see the show and enjoy a semi-cooler evening at Peach Days.

Annie was so alert the entire night and was a trooper for being passed around to everyone. I told her she needs to get used to it because living life on the fly is how we roll. Porter didn't have any idea who I was until I took off my sun glasses. The hair change is taking some getting used to. My students keep thinking they have a sub only to be dismayed that it's really just me.

We added a new number this year: Cowboy Sweet Heart. We also had twice as many All-of-Me dancers. Kari gets the effort award this year for braving the event with her 2-month-old twinners is tow!

And late that night a delirious me came home to frost 500 cupcakes for Annie's big party the next day. It was a mess with several disasters. In this pic I am wearing Annie who slept through the ordeal while I frosted and bounced. The wrap is terrific once I get her in it.
