It's that time again....

It's that time again, when the bribes start rolling in. Let me clarify: I do not accept bribes for extra credit or grade changes, but I absolutely do accept bribes for late work. My cut off date is the week before end-of-quarter and, irrevocably, there are always a few unfortunate souls who forget or space the "due or die day." Hence the bribes. What happens in the real world when you disappoint someone or fail to meet a deadline? You do something nice for them of course! Hey, I'm not just teaching Language Arts, I'm teaching life skills!

It's that time again, when we try something new at our fave new SGU restaurant. If you haven't hit up this delectable Vietnamese spot yet, dude- what are you waiting for? GO GO GO! The owners know us now and have started recommending things that aren't on the menu. They even gave Mag some extra egg rolls on the house because she was feeling a little blue!

What is on the menu that you should try? If I were you, I would start with the pork spring rolls and head into #27. Real winners. In fact, I cannot leave this place without ordering an entire plate of spring rolls just for me. Pictured right is #27- I think it's called BBQ pork with rice noodles. You don't have to mix it all up like this but I love to dump the fish sauce over the top and mix mix away. Oh the fresh mint and cucumbers! Please go here now so it stays in business. Now that I have sampled true ethnic cuisine again, I can't bare to live without it.

#37 (right) is Q's fave. This is the all out eat-with-your-hands option. He's pretty talented. My lettuce wraps generally tend to fall apart before they make it to my mouth.

It's that time again... to celebrate Birthdays. Actually, it's neither one of our birthdays but it was Dave's and the important part of the festivity is that I got to see Kari for the first time since about 10 major life changing events have happened in both our lives. Doesn't she look terrific? She is one of my best friends... ironic when you consider we are 1st cousins too right? We grew up together and she is so fun it's criminal. Hey K- I'm already dreaming of Powell in June and Manhattan in December. Remember the Road to Hanna in Maui? Oh- and that crab dinner on the beach? Seriously, we need to go on another trip soon. I'm lamenting, right at this moment, over the teary-eyed fact that my spring break will be wasted on no exciting trip and/or acrument of exotic souvenirs. It was super to see you and to see the "old you" back and better than ever. You look amazing and as if the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders!!! Hurray for you.

sniff sniff! You are the sweetest, coolest, smartest, beautiful"est" girl I know! I absolutely loved seeing you last weekend! When your Mom suggested we have Dave's bday at her house, I almost objected, until the words 'then Nicole & Quinn will be able to come' escaped her lips. In an instant, I had the whole family convinced to make the 1.5 hour drive over! The best!! You rock-and I love this picture!
